The following letter has been sent to the parents of the late H. A. Rich '03.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Rich:
The Class of Nineteen Hundred and Three extends its heartiest sympathy to you in your recent sad bereavement. Your sorrow, in the loss of your son, is shared by the whole class. He was a man esteemed for his straight-forwardness, his strength of purpose, and his unfailing sincerity. Those who met him for the first time were impressed by his force of character, and closer acquaintance served only to deepen this impression. Not only the class but the entire University suffers deeply in losing from its ranks one whose past was so laudable, and whose future seemed so bright. For the class, RICHARD C. DORR. SPIER WHITAKER. GRENVILLE CLARK. RICHARD DERBY. GILBERT BETTMAN.
