The Academic and Scientific Departments of Yale will hold a debate on April 19. The question is, "Resolved, That the right of suffrage should be restricted to holders of taxable property."
The Yale University Dramatic Association will produce, on April 23 and 24, Thomas Heywood's comedy, "The Fair Maid of the West." An effort will be made to picture the audience of Shakespeare's day by means of a representative audience of about one hundred students, who will occupy a pit built in the space usually devoted to the musicians and the first few rows of orchestra seats.
At the meetings of the Spanish Club during the remainder of the year, Spanish plays will be read by the members of the club, in order to test the ability of the men in reading the language, preparatory to the presentation of a play next year. At the next meeting of the club "Partir a Tiempo" by Mariano Jose de Larra will be read.
