The Yale 1901 basketball team was defeated by the Cambridgeport Gymnastic Association last night by the score of 23 to 11.
The Freshman Banjo Club elected the following officers yesterday: President, L. Davis; secretary, H. I. Cobb; leader, A. B. Taylor.
The Yale baseball team returned from its southern trip yesterday. The scores of the games played were as follows: Yale 5, New York League 4; Yale 9, Virginia 6; Yale 1, Georgetown 1; Georgetown 8, Yale 1; Baltimore 10, Yale 3; Philadelphia 4, Yale 3.
The joint committee of the Massachusetts Legislature which is to report on the Charles River Dam Bill spent yesterday forenoon in a tour of inspection at the basin. Their decision will probably be announced early next week.
