The Board of Overseers yesterday voted to request the President and Fellows to appoint a standing committee of five, of whom at least two shall be members of the Board of Overseers and one a member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, to which shall be submitted all plans and designs of permanent buildings for the University, together with the proposed sites, so that the committee may advise in respect to them.
It was also voted that a committee of Overseers be appointed to consider and report upon the Department of Education. This committee will also have in charge the subject of the relations of the University with the preparatory schools.
The Overseers voted to concur with the President and Fellows in their vote appointing George Gray Sears, M.D., assistant professor of clinical medicine for five years from September 1, 1901.
