Mr. Copeland will read from Kipling at the State Normal and Practice Schools at Lowell on Friday, February 8.
Mr. John D. Rockefeller has offered to give $200,000 to Oberlin College, provided $300,000 in addition is raised during the year.
The University of California is planning to offer a short course for farmers at the next summer session. Practical instruction will be given in horticulture, irrigation, dairy husbandry, stock breeding, and similar subjects.
In Mr. Copeland's Life of Edwin Booth, to be published in the Beacon Biographies series, there will be a number of hitherto unpublished letters from Booth to Mr. Thomas Bailey Aldrich who was one of his life long friends.
