Pennsylvania has decided to send a crew to the Henley Regatta next June, provided that $4,000 for expenses is guaranteed within the next thirty days. A regular university crew will be maintained as usual.
Acting President Walcott attended the annual dinner of the Harvard Club of New York on Thursday evening, and spoke on the subject of the new buildings given to the University during the past year, and now in the process of construction.
The final trials to choose the Yale team which will debate against Princeton in New Haven on March 20, were held Thursday evening and resulted in the selection of the following men: H. R. Berry 3L., A. Tulin '03, and R. H. V. Ewell '03. The alternates are H. Satterles '02, M. Trowbirdge '01 and F. H. Sincerbeaux '02. The question is, "Resolved, That a system of subsidies other than those now used in the mail transportation should be adopted by the United States, to encourage our ocean carrying and ship building industries".
