A marked improvement was apparent in the Freshman football practice yesterday afternoon. The game between the first and second elevens was very spirited and resulted in a victory for the first by the score of 15 to 0. All three touchdowns were made by straight football, most of the plays being directed through the line. On the defensive the first team was unusually strong and forced the second to kick almost every time it got the ball. The backs started quickly and followed their interference more closely than they have done before this week. The linemen made large openings, though at times they started too soon. Except that the interference is not as effective as it should be, the team seems to be developing very satisfactorily.
