The Freshman Debating Club last night elected the following officers for the first half-year: President, C. L. Dillon; vice-president, K. C. McArthur; secretary, G. G. Smith; treasurer, J. F. Smith; fifth member of executive committee, F. E. Neagle.
The debate on the subject "Resolved, That anarchy in the United States should be restrained in some definite way," was won by E. B. Vaughan and H. H. Coryell, who supported the affirmative. It was decided to hold the meetings of the club on Monday evenings at 7 o'clock in the Assembly Room of the Union, and to adopt the Robert rules of order.
