The Freshman football practice yesterday afternoon showed a decided improvement in nearly every department of the game. In the line-up which followed the preliminary signal work, both elevens exhibited a spirit and dash which has not appeared before. The backs started more quickly and every man seemed to get into the play. The first team formed a more compact interference and by superior team work scored two touchdowns and a safety. The second team, by very aggressive playing, almost secured a touchdown, but was held for downs on the 5 yard line.
