The University crew yesterday rowed several short stretches and although the stroke was very low the boat travelled better than it has done for some time. The men held their slides better and finished the stroke stronger than here tofore. As Bullard's ankle is still sore, Fitzgerald continued at 2. Harding still holds his place at 4.
The second crew, after a row down stream, was divided into two fours which rowed as follows: Stroke, G. Bancroft; 3, Goodell; 2, Shuebruk; bow, McConnell; cox., Howe. Stroke, Evans; 3, Lawrence; 2, Henderson; bow, Emory; cox., Shattuck. The final four to race the Yale substitutes will probably be selected tomorrow or Saturday.
