West Point Academy passed its centennial on Tuesday, May 1.
The foundation of the new cinder jumping paths on Soldiers Field have been found to be unsteady and will have to be rebuilt. Work will be immediately begun on relaying solid, clay foundations.
The plans for the new Semitic Building are now in the hands of the contractors for estimate. If the estimates are reasonable work will be begun as early as July, and it is hoped that the building will be ready for use in the fall of 1901.
