Lacrosse Practice.

The lacrosse team has much improved its playing since the game with the Crescents, and the team work, especially on the offensive, is now well developed. The defence is still a trifle weak.

A practice game played yesterday against a team composed of graduates and substitutes was won by the first team, 6 goals to 1. Taylor, Penhallow and Breed played together unusually well and made most of the goals by clever passing. Another encouraging feature was the work of Wynne at point. The goals were made as follows: Howard 2, Breed 2, Fenwick and Penhallow.

The team will play the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, and if the present improvement continues the chances for a victory will be at least even. The Pennsylvania team is very strong, and tied Columbia last week with the score 3 to 3.
