The Canadian Club will hold its banquet tonight at the Westminster Hotel, this date being chosen because it is the anniversary of Queen Victoria's birthday. Among the speakers will be Professor W. J. Ashley, who will respond to the toast of "The Empire," and Professor C. W. Colby who will speak on "Canada." Mr. Alleyne Ireland, author of "The Anglo-Boer Conflict; its History and Causes," has been asked to speak on "The United States."
