Baseball Practice.

The baseball team spent most of the afternoon yesterday in batting practice at the nets and on the diamond. The pitching was done by Stillman, Kernan, MacDonald and B. A. Hayes '98. The men showed improved form in batting and made a number of clean, hard drives. Wendell's backstop work was good, but he was weak in throwing to second. Reid's throwing to bases was remarkably swift and accurate. The fielding practice was sharp and more accurate than on Tuesday. Kendall, though fairly sure on thrown balls, is still very weak in fielding batted balls, and his throwing yesterday was uncertain. The outfielders are showing considerable improvement in getting under long flies.
