Of the designs submitted to the Senior Spread Committee for the dance orders for the Senior Spread, that of J. G. Cole '00 has been accepted.

C. P. Cook, Yale 'varsity pitcher, and W. M. Fincke, the hurdler, have regained their standing in the Sheffield Scientific School and are again eligible for the team.

The Catalogue of the Graduate School for 1899-1900 gives the total in the School as 341, an increase of 13 over that of last year. Of these 326 are resident and 15 non-resident students.

The Wisconsin Club has elected the following officers: President, A. Walb '02; vice-president, H. B. Wells '03; secretary, W. M. Bray '03; treasurer, E. H. Cassels 1L.; curator, H. E. Holbrook '03.

In the handicap shoot for the Remington shot gun on Monday, the judges made a mistake in the award of the first place. L. B. McCornick '02 tied with E. W. Leonard '03, both making 78. The tie will be shot off Thursday.

The members of the Harvard debating team which recently won from Yale have received their gold medals. These are similar in appearance to the medals given in former years. On one side is a bust of Cicero, and on the reverse side is engraved the name of the winner, the debate in which the medal was won, and the date.

Princeton has won nine baseball games out of eleven, Harvard four out of five, and Yale nine out of 12. Princeton's percentage is .818, Harvard's .800, and Yale's .750. As Yale and Princeton have each lost a game to the Boston league team, their percentage against college teams is a little better than these figures.

At the 111th meeting of the American Oriental Society held at Philadelphia on April 19, 20, and 21 Professor Lanman read two papers: "Talking birds in ancient India," and "The Urgent need of good text books for the progress of Indian studies." Two papers by Professor Toy, who was not present at the meeting were also read: "The Hebrew fragments of the book Ecclesiastious;" and "On a pre-religious stage of Society."
