In the last of the preliminary games of the Leiter Cup series, yesterday, the Barristers defeated the Fussers 17 to 10. The Barristers played a good game, but their pitching was not as effective as in previous games.
The contest has now narrowed down to three teams, the Dew Drops having won in the first section, the Barristers in the second, and the Boiler Makers in the third. The semi-finals between the Boiler Makers and the Barristers will be played this afternoon, and the winner will play the Dew Drops in the finals tomorrow. The teams are very evenly matched, and the games will be close, but the Dew Drops seem to have a slight advantage.
