Reeve Schley, of New York city, has been appointed captain of the Yale freshman crew.
The Exeter Club has elected the following officers: President, H. H. Peyton '01; vice-president, D. A. Baldwin '03; secretary, E. H. Greene '02; treasurer, G. N. Shorey '01; executive committee, G. R. Stobbs 1L., B. Z. Kasson '01, P. Bartlett '02, W. C. Cleveland '03.
The work of the lacrosse squad is rapidly improving and the prospects are that a good team will be developed by the April recess. Twenty-eight men were out yesterday, and a practice game was played, though no attention was paid to the score. Dr. Henshaw coached the men and was greatly pleased with the showing made. At present the most noticeable fault is a tendency to hold the stick so far back as to lose control of the ball while running.
