The Pudding play for this year is a two act comic opera called "Wytche Hazelle." The music is by H. Tappin '00, and the book is by E. L. Dudley '00 and J. H. Holliday '00. The scenery and costumes have been designed by T. M. Shaw '00. The parts have been temporarily assigned as follows: The first act is laid in Salem in 1692. The second act comprises a scene on Boston Common, another at Keith's and the final one in the town court house. The plot centres about the two Jacobite exiles and their adventures in the New World during the witch craze. Although there are many modern allusions and local hits, the atmosphere and customs of the 17th century are consistently maintained. The play will be given early in May in Cambridge and Boston only.
