Mr. Hurlbut has reached Minneapolis in his tour westward, and will soon start on his return journey by way of Washington and Baltimore. In addition to his efforts as secretary of the Appointment Committee, to arrange means for obtaining situations for graduating Harvard students, Mr. Hurlbut has been visiting the principal preparatory schools, to see how the methods of instruction there can be made preparatory to the new requirements for admission to Harvard.
