A special meeting of the board of Overseers was held yesterday to hear the report of the committee which was appointed to consider the petition of the Scientific School alumni, asking for the right to vote for the board of overseers. The committee advised that another committee be appointed "to prepare and submit to the next legislature a form of act conferring upon the governing boards of the University power to regulate the franchise in the election of members of the board of overseers and in all matters relating to the same."
The board also confirmed the nomination of William H. Fenn as Bussey professor of Theology in the Divinity School.
