Pennsylvania, 27; Cornell, 0

The Pennsylvania eleven defeated Cornell yesterday at Philadelphia by the decisive score of 27 to 0. Pennsylvania relied almost entirely on her guards-back formation, and most of her scoring was due to the fierce line-bucking of Hare and McCracken. In the first half Hare kicked a field goal from the 20 yard line, and in the second Potter ran fifty-five yards for a touchdown.

Pennsylvania played a strong game on the defense as well as on the offense, and Cornell could make little headway. Both teams did a great deal of fumbling, and as a result Cornell had two tries at field goals, and once reached Pennsylvania's fifteen yard line. The fierce rushing tactics used by Pennsylvania were very wearing on both teams, and several men on both sides were forced to leave the game.
