The first regular games in the class series will be played at 4 o'clock this afternoon on Soldiers Field.
The game between the Seniors and Juniors promises to be a very good one, with the chances in favor of the Seniors, who are a little heavier, and have a few more experienced men. Both teams will probably play a good many substitutes, the seniors especially, as they have many men of about equal ability.
The teams will probably line up as follows: 1901. 1902. Morse (capt.), l. e., l. e., Wendell. McConnell, r. t. l. t., Ogilby. Gilchrist (Wheelwright), r. g., l. g., Frantz. Lyman (Turner), c., c., Scott. Loud (Force), l. g. r. g., Lovering (Brooks). Locke (Henderson), l. t. r. t., Platt (Smith). Taylor (Laverack). l. e. r. e., Willis (Locke). Hayes (Hardy), q. b. q. b., (capt.), Stedman. Brockway (Pope), r. h. b. l. h. b., Russe (Shirk). Milne, l. hb. r. h. b., Chase (Rumsey). Cunningham (Evans), f. b. f. b., Noyes (Boyd).
The Freshman team has been much weakened since the Yale game partly because of injuries and their line-up this afternoon will be almost entirely different from that in the Yale game. The practice yesterday showed much fumbling. The Sophomore team has the advantage in punting.
