The schedule of concerts for the Glee, Mandolin and Banjo Clubs during the month of January is as follows: At Dorchester on the 6th, at Newton on the 11th, at Wellesley on the 13th. The Mandolin Club will give a concert at Brookline on the 15th, and another at Lynn on the 18th.
Professor P. H. Hanus will address the Citizen's Trade Association of Cambridge on December 27 on "Educational Progress." From the 5th to the 10th of February Professor Hanus will give a series of six lectures on "Secondary Education," at Western Reserve University, Cleveland.
Columbia has decided to hold a summer session from July 5 to August 23. Twenty-seven courses will be offered with thirty lectures to each course, and the work will count toward degrees and towards the Teacher's College diplomas. An important feature of the session will be the School of Practice and Observation, where teachers will have opportunities to observe and discuss practical aspects of teaching in connection with their study of the historical and theoretical methods.
