The meeting of the Junior Wranglers last night was devoted to a trial for the selection of a team for the debate against Boston University, to be held Dec. 14. The subject was: "Resolved, That the claims of England in the controversy with the South African Republic are justifiable." The speeches were six minutes in length. The following men spoke:
D. C. Hirsch, W. T. Foster, J. R. Locke, J. F. Jennings, W. Catchings, W. M. Eby, H. P. Chandler, M. T. Hall, W. S. Heilborn, W. R. Evans, Jr., and L. H. Bonneli, Jr. From these the judges, Mr. I. L. Winter, R. C. Bolling 1L. and S. B. Rosenthal 2L., selected W. Catchings, H. P. Chandler and W. S. Heilborn, with W. M. Eby as an alternate, to compose the team.
