Sophomore Debate

The regular debate of the Sophomore Debating Club held last night, on the question, "Resolved, That the peace conference at the Hague was a failure," resulted in a victory for the affirmative, supported by DeBray's camp.

On November 28 the question will be: "Resolved, That an Anglo-Saxon alliance is desirable." DeBray's camp has the affirmative and Letchworth's the negative.

On December 5 the question will be "Resolved, That B. H. Roberts should be allowed to hold a seat in Congress." Letchworth's camp has the affirmative, and DeBray's the negative.

The subject for the Exeter debate, the date of which will be arranged later, is "Resolved, That the policy of Great Britain in the Transvaal is justifiable." Trials will be held tonight in Sever 35. Each man will be allowed six minutes to speak and the order will be decided by lot.
