The annual football kicking contest is being held at Pennsylvania this week.
At Princeton, Minnesota, Beloit and Wisconsin the students pay a fee of one dollar per half year in addition to the regular tuition fee, for athletic purposes.
The University of Skaguay, Alaska, which opened October 1, is the first institution of its kind in the northwest. The course offered is a short one of a general literary character, although a large mining school will probably be added student to the degree of Master of Science in engineering.
The Harvard Gymnastic team has received challenges from Yale and Columbia for intercollegiate contests, but, owing to the unsettled state of affairs, the answers have been postponed until the annual organization of the team occurs.
