Andover Defeated Exeter.

Andover defeated Exeter last Saturday in their annual football game by the score of 17 to 0. The game was played on a very wet field which gave Andover's heavier team a great advantage. Both teams were weak in catching punts, but Exeter's fumbles were the more costly.

Andover scored one touchdown in the first half, and two in the second, and Davis kicked two goals. The first score was made by straight line bucking from the centre of the field where Andover secured the ball on a punt. The next touchdown was made in the first six minutes of the second half, principally by tackle and end plays. Captain Davis of the Andover team outplayed his opponent and made good holes for the runner whenever he was called upon. Toward the end of the game Exeter held for downs on her four yard line, but after the ball had been kicked out of danger, Andover scored another touchdown by successive plunges through the tackles. The game was called on account of darkness.
