The regular fall work of the Pierian Sodality will be hastened as much as possible this year in order that a free concert, devoted entirely to popular airs, may be given in Sanders Theatre about Nov. 1. Following it there will be three or four concerts given at intervals during the year; but the plan of holding a winter series has been finally abandoned. As for a coach, the society will undoubtedly have one, but none will be selected for a week or ten days.
The annual fall trial of candidates will be held in Holden Chapel next Thursday evening at 7 o'clock, when all men who are qualified may try.
