The annual boat race between the Weld senior and B. A. A. crews was rowed yesterday afternoon and resulted in an easy victory for the Weld. The course was down-stream from the mile and a half mark to the Union boat house, and the conditions, with a light wind and the tide running out, were very favorable.

The Weld crew caught the water first and immediately took the lead, which they held to the finish. At the bridge there was a length and a half of open water between the boats and a spurt by the B. A. A. failed to lessen that distance. On the other hand the Weld continued to gain and, with a strong final spurt, won the race by six lengths in the excellent time of 7m. 55s.

The Weld rowed a long, powerful stroke with a splendid finish and a good leg drive. The B. A. A. used a short, snappy stroke and were handicapped by the loss of Derby, who was recently taken to the Harvard 'Varsity boat. The prize for the race was a banner and cups.
