The showing of the nine in yesterday's game seems to have been satisfactory in every way. The men went into the game with a rush and succeeded in keeping their gait both in batting and fielding. The Holy Cross team is by no means a very strong one, and thus the Harvard players are to be congratulated rather for their exhibition of good snappy ball than for their victory.
This should augur well for the game today, and the result is awaited with special interest. A victory over Brown will mean that the nine is indeed looking up, for the Brown nine won one game in their series with Princeton and scored a decisive victory over Yale. Thus a good showing this afternoon will mean that there is as yet no cause for discouragement over the final outcome of the season.
