Statistics of the Crew.

Fletcher Dobyns '98, stroke, of Hilliards, O., prepared for college at the Oberlin Academy, Columbus. In his Sophomore and Junior years he stroked the Weld Senior eight. Age 26, height 5 ft. 9 in., weight 151 pounds.

Nicholas Biddle 1900, No. 7, of New York, prepared at St. Paul's School, where he rowed for two years on the Halcyons. He rowed 7 on the Freshman crew last year and was considered the best oar in the boat. Age 19, height 6 ft., weight 160 pounds.

James Handasyd Perkins '98 (captain), No. 6, prepared for college at Hopkinson's School and Milton Academy. He rowed on the 'Varsity in his Freshman year, until he was obliged to stop on account of illness. In his Sophomore year he rowed 3 on the 'Varsity. He rowed 5 in last year's 'Varsity boat and was then considered the strongest oar in the boat. Age 22, height 6 ft., weight 172 pounds.

Charles Lewis Harding 1900, No. 5, of Boston, prepared at Hopkinson's School. Last year he stroked his Weld class crew and the Weld Junior crew. Age 19, height 5 ft. 8 in., weight 163 pounds.

Francis Lee Higginson, Jr., 1900, No. 4, entered college from Groton where he captained one of the school crews. He was captain of his Freshman crew last year, rowing No. 6, and this year stroked the winning Sophomore boat in the class races. He was tried at stroke on the 'Varsity directly after the class races. Age 20, height 6 ft. 1 in., weight 164 pounds.

Eliot Wadsworth '98, No. 3, entered college from Hale's School, Boston. He has rowed on his class crew for three years. Age 22, height 5 ft. 10 in., weight 164 pounds.

John Devereux Kernan 1900, No. 2, fitted at the Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute. Last year he was a substitute on the Freshman crew. He rowed 4 in the Sophomore class crew this spring. Age 20, height 5 ft. 10 1-2 in., weight 169 pounds.

George Strong Derby 2 M., bow, comes from Boston, where he prepared for college at Noble's School. He rowed three years on his class crew and in his Senior year rowed bow on the 'Varsity. He was also captain and No. 7 of the B. A. A. crew this year at the time he was taken to the 'Varsity. He is now in the Medical School. Age 24, height 5 ft. 11 in., weight 161 pounds.

Grosvenor Porter Orton 1 G., coxswain, comes from Irvington, N. Y. He fitted for college at the Westminster School. He was coxswain of his class crew for four years and this year of the Weld senior crew. Age 24, height 5 ft. 8 in., weight 106 pounds.

George Dekkar Marvin '99, substitute, comes from New Rochelle, N. Y. He has rowed on his class crew three years. Last year he rowed bow on the 'Varsity. Age 24, height 5 ft. 11 in., weight 160 pounds.

John Forbes Perkins '99, substitute, prepared at Milton Academy. He rowed 4 on his Freshman crew and last year, 6 on the 'Varsity. Age 20, height 6 ft. 1 in., weight 171 pounds.

Henry Adams '98, substitute, comes fromLincoln, Mass. He prepared at Groton School. Since entering college he has rowed on his class crew. He was a substitute on the '96 'Varsity crew. Age 23, height 5 ft. 6 in., weight 154 pounds.

Robert Fulton Blake '99, substitute, prepared at the Boston Latin and English High and Latin Schools. He rowed on his Sophomore crew and on the Weld Senior crew, and up to within a week ago was rowing 2 on the 'Varsity, when illness compelled him to leave the boat. Age 22, height 6 ft., weight 156 pounds.
