In the annual spring games of the Yale A. A. Saturday, R. G. Clapp '98, S. broke the world's record for the pole vault, clearing 11 ft. 6 in. The former world's record was 11 ft. 5 in. and the intercollegiate record held by B. Johnson of Yale, 11 ft. 3 1-2 in.
