The eighth annual tournament of the Harvard Interscholastic Lawn Tennis Association was played, up to the semifinals, on the Jarvis Field courts, Saturday.
In the semi-finals, which will be played this morning at 9.30, E. W. Leonard, N. H. S., will play against B. C. Wright, H., and A. P. Hawes, H., against C. L. Childs, P. A. A. The winners will play the final round at 2.30 this afternoon. In case of rain, the matches will be postponed until the next fair day, at the same hours.
The points for each actual victory have been distributed among the schools as follows: Newton High, and Latin, 5; Phillips Andover, 4; Nobles and Greenough, 2; English High, 2; Roxbury Latin, 1; Newburyport High, 1; Dedham High, 0.
Although Newton High School is now in the lead, Hopkinson has two men in the semi-finals to Newton's one, and may still win the banner. Last year the banner was won by Hopkinson, with Newton High second. A. P. Hawes, H., won first place last year, with B. C. Wright, H., as "runner up."
