Orders have been placed for caps and coats similar to those used by the militia, each outfit to cost about $4.60. They are to be used by the men in the daily drills. No trousers were ordered because it was thought each man could provide himself with the white duck trousers needed for the dress parades.
An innovation in physical measurements has been made by Dr. Anderson at Yale. The measurements are being made on those who compete in the track athletic games, and are intended to ascertain how much weight is lost by an athlete during the progress of his event.
