Col. O. H. Payne of the Standard Oil Co. has given $500,000 to found a new Cornell Medical School in New York city.
Owing to the increasing interest in anthropology it has been thought well to establish a club, having for its purpose the furtherance of the study by means of combining all those interested in different branches. Mr. Frank Russell, instructor, has been elected permanent secretary, and next fall the other officers will be elected. It is expected that papers will be read by eminent anthropologists next year.
