The 'Varsity and Freshman crews will go to their quarters at New London on June 11.
The Yale Glee and Banjo Clubs gave their annual concert in New York in the music hall of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel Wednesday evening. The proceeds will be devoted to the training expenses of the 'Varsity crew.
The Sophomore and Freshman baseball nines will play their first game in the class series on Tuesday afternoon. A game has also been arranged by the Sophomores with St. Mark's School at Southboro on Monday.
A cinder tennis court is being laid in the vacant lot back of Dunster. Hand ball courts will also be built. It is intended to hedge in the lot and use it for a Class Day spread in connection with Dunster.
Greenleaf, who has been laid up with water on the knee, has returned to the Yale 'varsity crew, which is now rowing in the following order: Stroke, Williams; 7, Greenleaf; 6, Allen; 5, Niedecker; 4, Flint; 3, Brock; 2, Wickes; bow, Whitney.
In practice on Wednesday, J. P. Remington of the University of Pennsylvania, made a new world's record in the broad jump, clearing 23 ft. 10 in. The previous record was 23 ft. 6 1-2 in. Remington will jump in competition tomorrow at Philadelphia, when it is expected he will do even better than in practice.
