HARVARD VS. PRINCETON.

The Two Nines Play at princeton Today. The Batting Order.

The game between Harvard and Princeton this afternoon promises to be the most interesting played between the two colleges for a number of years. Neither nine seems to have displayed unusual strength in its early games and neither appears from a comparison of scores to have asserted any marked superiority over the other. The game should be a hard fought contest in which Harvard may be forced to play a stiff up-hill game although the prospects seem slightly in her favor provided she bats as well as she has of late.

In fielding Harvard apparently has little to fear as nearly all of the men have been well tried at their positions and may be relied on to play a steady game. At the last moment yesterday Fitz and McCornick joined the squad and it is not at all unlikely that both will play their regular positions today.

Both Princeton and Harvard may be weakened to some extent by the uncertainty that comes of playing men inexperienced in the trying conditions of a big game. Princeton has several new men on its nine and moreover has been handicapped by the resignation of Butler from the captaincy, the election of kafer and the subsequent temporary withdrawal of Kelley from the squad.

Reid, Clark and McCornick have had more or less baseball experience before entering college and should, by this time, have become well rounded out in point of accuracy and self-control.

The batting orders for today are:
