It is a peculiar phenomenon that year after year when the time for departure to New London approaches, a large per cent. of first year men are found to have been wanting in class loyalty to such an extent that they have considered themselves unable to support their crew. In the tardy, most men are out riding, rowing, or playing tennis till very late in the afternoon, and do not return from dinner in time for a 7 o'clock concert.
