The first Freshman-Sophomore debate will be held Monday evening, May 16, at 7.30 in Fogg Lecture Room. The Sophomores will have the affirmative and the Freshmen the negative of the question, "Resolved, That the United States should abandon its policy of international isolation." The Sophomore speakers will be R. D. Crane, E. E. Sargeant, J. A. Richards, and A. L. Richards, alternate. The Freshman speakers will be J. C. Mangan, D. C. Hirsch, J. H. A. Symonds, and V. Custis, alternate. The judges will be Professor G. P. Baker, Professor E. Cummings and Mr. J. J. Hayes. Dean L. B. R. Briggs will preside.
After the debates the Sophomore Debating Club will give an informal smoker at the Colonial Club to the Sophomore team and to all Sophomores interested in debating.
