In preparation for every contest there are always individuals who, although keeping in the background, deserve a share of the credit of victory if victory be won, and in any case the thanks of their fellows. Such men are those who have assisted the Harvard team in their training for the debate with Princeton, and their services in furnishing practice to the principals and in bringing out fine points in rebuttal, could not have been spared.

In behalf of the University we wish to thank them for their efforts, and express a hope that they may have the satisfaction of contributing to a Harvard victory.
