B. C. Wright, Hopkinson '99, easily won the final round of the Harvard interscholastic tennis tournament, from A. P. Hawes, Hopkinson '98, yesterday afternoon. Wright won each of the three sets played, scoring 6-2, 6-2, 6-0.
A fairly strong, southeast wind blew across the court, which made out-of-court drives rather frequent. Although Wright's playing was remarkably steady, Hawes continually drove the ball into the net, or over the back line.
In the semi-finals, B. C. Wright, H., won from E. W. Leonard, N. H. S., by a score of 6-1, 6-2, and A. P. Hawes, H., defeated C. L. Childs, P. A. A., 6-5, 6-3. As a result, Hopkinson School wins the tournament with 12 points, and Newton High is second with 11.
