The 'Varsity track games were held on Holmes Field yesterday afternoon. The track was in good condition in spite of the weather, and several of the performances were excellent.
The best individual records were made by Green, Morse and Grant. Green won both sprints in rather slow time, but he ran strongly and finished fast. Morse cleared the bar at 5 ft. 11 in., and won the low hurdles. Grant ran a beautiful race in both the half and the mile.
The most exciting race was the 880 yards run. Bush set the pace for the first lap but Grant slowly gained on him and took the lead at the 220 mark. Draper finished second by making an exceptionally plucky spurt in the stretch.
The best time of the day was made by Fox who won the high hurdles in 16 1-5 seconds.
The showing made in all the field events was poor.
