Preferable, however, to coming primarily from the Athletic Committee with the necessary money charged to athletic expenses, such recognition should be purely undergraduate in character and the expense born by undergraduates.
An opportunity is now offered to act on this proposition and establish a precedent for the future. It would be most fitting to show last year's 'Varsity nine that their improvement and ultimate success is still thoroughly appreciated. We would therefore suggest that steps be taken toward starting a general fund to which everyone should subscribe a little, and present the nine with cups in commemoration of their victories.
