The M. I. T. Yacht Club is trying to arrange a boat race with Harvard and Yale to be held this spring, preferably at New London.
Kafer, Kelly, Butler, Hildebrand, Barrett and Eaton of last year's Princeton baseball nine are still in college and practicing with the squad.
Among the men throwing the hammer under Mr. Perrie's coaching, W. D. Hennen '98, W. A. Boal 1900 and S. G. Ellis 1901 have shown the most improvement.
The National Association of Amateur Oarsmen, in whose annual regatta the Senior Weld eight won second place last summer, has a membership of over 100 clubs.
The number of candidates for the Yale nine has been reduced from 70 to 26 men. Most of these men will be taken on the southern trip, which will begin in two weeks.
