Peabody Museum.

The collection of ethnological objects in the main hall of the Peabody Museum has recently been re-arranged and enlarged. Several models of Indian tents are shown. Among the rarest specimens are examples of stained porcupine quill work and of black and white tanning. Both the quill work and tanning are now lost arts to the Indians. The contents of the Omaha sacred war tent, which have been stored away for some time, were recently examined and are now on exhibition.
