Yale will play no baseball or football games in New York City this year.
The Yale Athletic Association has granted the privilege of wearing the university "Y" to the members of the intercollegiate golf team.
The new shell built by Davy for the '98 crew has been completed. It is 63 feet over all and weighs only about 235 lbs. It is braced like the '99 boat, but is of lighter wood.
The scrub baseball games for the Leiter cup will be played from April 26 to May 13. The class games will be played between May 16 and 28, the preliminaries in the first week and the finals in the second week of that period.
The regular 1900 crew and the Weld 1900 had a short race yesterday, but the water was so rough that they were forced to abandon it after about a third of a mile. Another race will be held on Saturday and there will probably be short races between these two crews regularly twice a week hereafter.
