The action of the I. C. A. A. in entirely separating bicycle events from the intercollegiate games by providing for a separate bicycle association with a championship meet of its own, seems a step well taken. Of recent years the bicycle races have increased in importance and racing methods have been modified to such an extent, that it has been necessary to hold the bicycle meet apart from the track games. With this change the feeling has increased that bicycling, occupying as it does such a such a different position from track and field events, should be given a place by itself, and this has at last led to the action taken Saturday.
