The Dudleian lecture to be given in Appleton Chapel this evening is of special importance for two reasons. In the first place the Rev. J. H. Barrows, D. D., of the University of Chicago, who is to deliver the lecture, is well-known as a religious leader and organizer, and is especially well calculated to arouse general interest. In the second place the lecture as a survival of the ancient college is of historic interest and should call forth a large audience.
