Members of the University will be glad to take advantage of Mr. Copeland's course of lectures on the English novelists, the first of which is announced for this evening. They are the first of the kind given in the University since the season of '95-96, and form a recognized part of the University curriculum.

In previous years these lectures have proved generally useful and popular, and it seems only fitting to bring them especially to the notice of the Freshman and Sophomore classes, which have not as yet had the privilege of attending a course of this nature. As has been announced the course will attempt to trace the relationship of the different novelists as closely as possible, and will prove of great practical value.
