Student Volunteer Convention.

The third international convention of the Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions, will as already announced, take place at Cleveland, Ohio, from Feb. 23 to Feb. 27. These conventions are held every four years, and are made up of student delegates from the different colleges and schools in the United States and Canada. This year the convention is to be at Cleveland by invitation of the Young Men's Christian Association of that city, and will be unusually interesting and well attended. About 1500 delegates will be present from nearly 300 colleges, and in addition a large number of professors, returned missionaries, representatives of mission boards, and editors of leading religious papers. The object of the meeting is chiefly for the purpose of promoting interest in foreign missions among students.

The Harvard delegation will be made up of the following men: Dr. A. C. Garrett (Inst.), G. Gleason 1G., F. Dobyns '98, J. E. Hubbard '98, J. A. L. Odde '98, E. F. Phillips '98, G. A. Goodridge '99, H. C. Ward '99, L. S. Beals 1900, E. C. Carter 1900, A. M. Chandler 1900, O. D. Evans 1900, W. G. Mortland 1900, J. A. Richards 1900, G. A. Whittemore 1900, G. Bell 1901, R. Flint 1901, E. W. James 1901, W. B. Norris 1901, and J. W. Scott 1901. They will leave Cambridge, Tuesday, Feb. 22, and return on the following Monday.
